Okay, I know that the show and my silly little fanfic have nothing to do with one another, but can I just say that I'm LOVING the fact that, in the extended preview for next week, Elena and Elijah are having their post-daggerectomy heart-to-heart outdoors, while walking through some kind of fancy garden?  If only Elena weren't already wearing a jacket...  ;-)
